Deborah, do you know Carol Ann Carter? She was a professor of mine here at the University of Kansas. She had a show here in Lawrence at the Lawrence Art Center a few months ago. Her work is beautiful and she is a wonderful lady, not to mention very intriguing. Are you familiar with Richard Dishinger or Makoto Fugimora (spelling?). These are two artists who’s work you might like. Oh, and maybe Gerald (Jerry) Lubinski. Dishinger and Lubinski both teach at the Univeristy of Kansas. Makoto is a NY artist originally from Japan. He works with traditional Japanese painting ideas and produces abstract images. He sits on the board of the NEA and is very involved in varying groups like IAMNY. I appreciate your blogs! http://darinwhite.wordpress.com
